Orchard Pruning Weekend Retreat


Event Description:
Join us for a unique Orchard Pruning Weekend Retreat at Iachusol Enaid. This immersive weekend is an opportunity to connect with nature, learn valuable pruning skills, and enjoy the serene beauty of our 68-acre retreat. This intimate retreat is limited to 14 volunteers to ensure a peaceful experience. 

The weekend will be a blend of practical learning, relaxation, and a chance to explore our land and unwind by the fire or in the geodesic dome. Meals will be provided, and you’ll sleep comfortably in our insulated wooden cabins.

 

Schedule:

Friday, 15th November

  • Arrive: Anytime during the day

  • 15:30 – Walking tour of the land

  • 18:00 – Dinner and dessert

  • 19:00 – Fire circle (weather permitting) or games in the dome

 

Saturday, 16th November

  • 08:00 – Breakfast

  • 10:00 – Sound Bath

  • 11:00 – Workshop: How to Prune Fruit Trees

  • 12:00 – Lunch

  • 13:00 – Orchard Pruning

  • 15:00 – Walk around the valley or dip in the stream

  • 18:00 – Dinner and dessert

  • 20:00 – Fire circle or dome gathering

 

Sunday, 17th November

  • 10:00 – Sound Bath

  • 11:00 onwards – Departure

 

Food:

All meals provided during the retreat will be vegetarian, with fresh, local, and seasonal ingredients. Start your day with a warm bowl of porridge alongside tea and coffee. Lunch will feature hearty soups like potato and leek or carrot, perfect for keeping your energy up for pruning. Dinners will be wholesome vegetarian dishes, followed by a delicious dessert to round off the evening.

If you have any specific dietary needs, please let us know in advance so we can accommodate you.

 

Accommodation & Facilities:
Participants will stay in our rustic yet comfortable wooden cabins, each equipped with two single beds. Our facilities include access to fresh spring water, an outdoor fire circle, and an indoor dome space, outdoor Kitchen, toilets and showers.

We hope this weekend will give you a chance to fully experience the amenities we offer at Plas Y Maes.

 

Contribution:
We kindly ask for a contribution of £30 - £50 for the weekend, on a sliding scale depending on what you can afford. This helps cover meals, accommodation, and activities throughout the retreat.
