September 2024 - Lots of Milestones

Stuart and Hannah spent five days in Bristol helping James with renovating his new house.  We had some warm sunny days this week for a change so were able to continue with weeding the mandala.  A new school term started this week for Sowelu.

We were delighted to see the wild flowers planted earlier had survived and thrived creating a picturesque bed in the mandala and food for our bees.

Julia was away on a river cruise and Stuart was able to make the dome fully waterproof at last using some special silicone.

Stuart worked in the Cegyn Hedyn Allotment and made a new hand washing facility for volunteers and a water collection unit.

Sowelu celebrated her 10th birthday and lost a molar tooth but found a four leaf clover.  She also saw the Nutcracker Ballet which was shown at the local theatre.

The artichokes are looking really good and ready to be harvested soon.

Stuart helped Guy for a couple of days with a mobile Forest School project.

General weeding of the vegetable beds and mandala continues.  The tomato beds in the polytunnel were cleared after an unsuccessful outcome due to tomato blight.

Stuart spent a couple of days helping James with his new house.  Violet, Austin and George stayed for three days while James and Jenny continued with packing and working on the new house.
