December 2021: Christmas and family time
On Christmas Eve we all went on the Santa Steam Train journey here in Carmarthenshire which was fun to do. We had a ‘carriage’ to ourselves on a traditional train with a corridor which felt like stepping back in time. The trip was only 90 minutes but we had a glass of sherry and mince pies (adults) while the children had a juice and snack. The highlight of course was a visit from Santa which the children loved and didn’t seem to notice his very obvious false beard which kept slipping but enjoyed the chat and little gift.
Christmas Day was extra special with all the children here . On Boxing Day we decided to go for a walk with the dogs and visited Pembrey Park which is set in 500 acres of woodland and alongside eight miles of golden sands and a 30 minute drive from us. After our pleasant walk the children had fun on the adventure playground there which got rid of all their excess energy!
