August 2014: Land management

Huge amount of land management accomplished this month by the family. Two new 'garden' areas cleared of brambles and prepared with a wood shaving bed. New Stone wall built by James in front of the house. About 20 large fir trees removed next to the house; some were about 40 feet high so we now have enough wood for a couple of years. Wood shed cleared and organised. The orchard and camping field were mown by Stuart which was magic. Unfortunately Stuart had an argument with a ditch in the tractor and we needed the help of two local farmers to pull it out!!
